Being a firefighter requires a high level of physical fitness. Our firefighters participate in regular fitness training to ensure they are prepared for the physical demands of the job.

Want to see what it's like to be a firefighter? Schedule a fire station tour and see our equipment and apparatus up close. Our firefighters will also provide a demonstration of how they respond to emergency calls.

Our department offers free fire safety inspections within the Gazelle Fire Protection District for businesses and organizations in the community. We will identify potential fire hazards and make recommendations to help improve fire safety.

Siskiyou Counties‘s COS Fire Academy offers several unique classes & courses to prepare individuals for a career in firefighting. The academy provides hands-on training and education to help individuals become successful firefighters.
